Homework
Homework will consist of language arts, spelling, and math.
*AR Reading* Students are to earn 4 points a month. AR points are earned by reading a leveled library book and then answering questions on the computer. Most picture books are worth 1/2 point. Many chapter books are worth 1 point or more. Students must pass the tests to earn full credit. Students may use their library books while taking the test.
Classroom Management
I believe that good behavior will result in better learning. To ensure this positive learning environment, the students and I have agreed upon the following:
RULES:
1. Be a good listener and follow directions.
2. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
3. Be polite to each other and play together safely.
4. Always do quality work...the best that YOU can do!
CONSEQUENCES:
1st offense: Warning/Verbal redirect
2nd offense: Behavior Improvement Log
3rd offense: Loss of a privilege
4th offense: Phone call/email/ or note home. Possible parent/teacher conference if needed.
REWARDS:
Student Choice Award, Monday Award, positive note home, extra computer time,
praise, etc.
